Model Village : Visit by Officials

Visit By Sri Niten Chandra, IAS, Spl. Chief Secretary GA Dept. Govt. of Odisha

On 18th of November 2014, Sri Niten Chandra, IAS, Spl. Chief Secretary visited the Model Village BADAMAHA, in Rakia Block of Kandhamal District.

BADAMAHA was recently, on September, 2014, awarded best model village in Odisha, on CM program held in May Fair Convention, Bhubaneswar, Organised by CMGI.

It was a dream come true for the BADAMAHA People to see the person behind the BNV Program. And for whom they are seeing the change in the community.

BNV’s of the BADAMAHA village were real excited to express their happiness and the activity done so far as per plan made by them, for the change they wanted to see.

It was a great moment for all of us, having seeing our efforts showing colors positively.

Collector, Kandhamal, PD DRDA, Kandhamal, The Then Adl. Spl. Secretary Mr. Santunu Mohanty, The then BDO and Present Revenue Officer Mr. Pradeep Kumar Rout and Present BDO Rakia, were also present in the occasion.

All officials were glad to see the Village, changing for betterment.

BNV’s read out the achievement made so far, and taken a new challenge to MAKE IT ODF by March end as desired by Collector, Kandhamal.

NGO KALPAVRIKSH, also briefed about the progress on Signature Campaign, Financial Inclusion,Protected Farming, INRM and Shared concept on Common Service Centre led By BNV to be established etc.

Mr. Santunu Mohanty introduced all about BNV, It Brain Child, Sri Niten Chandra, and was happy to share that his efforts are moving in positive direction.

Collector seeing the development has assured to support the community issues and desired to take up Sanitation program rapidly to make the Village ODF by march end 2015.

Revenue officer gave a small Presentation of Poultry Activity to be start in BADAMAHA.

BDO Rakia has assured to carry forward the work done so far.

Sri Niten Chandra, in his address to people of BADAMAHA thanked for the warm welcome in traditional manner, and visited the local temple.

He was happy to see the change and motivated all to take forward the initiative more steps ahead.
